Paintings & Drawings In Water Colours
The Mallard, Anas platyrhncha platyrhyncha.
This is a limited edition, and beautiful water colour painting of the Mallard or Wild Duck.
This Duck is well known in Britain and can be found around the edges of lakes, marshes,
ponds and mud flats. They feed on almost anything such as grain, slugs, shellfish, frogs,
worms and berries. The drake has a plumage which is very distinctive and colourful, the
hen on the other hand has just a simple mottled brown coloured plumage.
